Salary:

Closing: 9th May 2025

The St David’s Marist Foundation is an independent Trust and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) dedicated to securing the long-term sustainability of St David’s Marist Inanda, an all-boys school in Johannesburg.

Since 2006, the Foundation has provided funding for bursaries, capital development, and holistic education initiatives in academics, sports, culture, leadership, and service—ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent talented students from accessing a world-class education. Now, they are seeking a Foundation Development Manager to drive donor engagement, expand philanthropic support, and strengthen fundraising initiatives—ensuring the Foundation’s long-term impact.

As Foundation Development Manager, you will play a key role in growing the Foundation’s donor community, fundraising programmes, and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Director of the Foundation, you will focus on cultivating relationships with donors, alumni, and corporate partners to secure sustainable funding. With the support of the Foundation Office Manager and collaboration with the Director, Trustees, and Executive Committee, you will help drive impactful donor initiatives that sustain and expand the Foundation’s mission.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

● Proven experience in fundraising, philanthropy, and donor engagement.

● Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

● Excellent writing and communication abilities across multiple platforms.

● Financial acumen and experience in donor stewardship and reporting.

● Innovative and strategic thinking, with problem-solving skills across people and platforms.

● Working knowledge of fundraising regulations and nonprofit governance.

● Ability to craft compelling donor proposals and impact reports.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to expanding access to quality education and strengthening the legacy of St David’s Marist Inanda. You will work within a supportive leadership structure, drive meaningful social impact, and contribute to a culture of innovation.
