Child Welfare Tshwane (CWT) is a community-based Child Protection Organisation operating within the legal framework of the Children’s Act 2005. With over 100 years of history, CWT is deeply rooted in the communities of Tshwane, dedicated to providing critical services to abused and vulnerable children and their families.


CWT’s mission is to create a better future for children in Tshwane through intervention strategies that include residential care, adoption, fostering, early childhood development, and safety and risk assessments. Now, they are seeking a Finance and Operations Manager to ensure financial sustainability, operational excellence, and compliance, enabling the organisation to continue its vital work.


As Finance and Operations Manager, you will step into a leadership role that oversees the financial, operational, and HR functions of CWT. Reporting directly to the Director and sitting on the Executive Committee (EXCO), you will play a critical role in ensuring financial stability, effective operations, and compliance with statutory requirements.


The ideal candidate will possess the following:


- B.Com Accounting Degree, Accounting Diploma/Bookkeeping/ Business Administration/Certificate in Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent qualification (preferred).

 

- Minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience (non-profit sector experience advantageous). 


- Experience in HR Support, including payroll management, policy implementation and staff compliance monitoring. 


- Finance Management Experience: accounting, reporting, payroll, compliance, budgeting, audits, and cash flow planning, while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and strategic financial guidance. 


- Passionate, approachable and collaborative, capable of supervising and guiding the Finance Clerk and HR/SCM Officer while building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

 

- Process-Driven and Detail-Oriented Personality - ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in financial processes and records. 


- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, including the board, donors, and sponsors.
