Since 2009, The Love Trust has been committed to delivering Christian education to vulnerable children from the disadvantaged community of Thembisa, nurturing growth and resilience, offering meals, transportation, and holistic support. Via their flagship campus, Nokuphila, they have served as a beacon of hope and a centre of excellence, focusing on pre-primary and primary education as well as teacher development. They recently realised their dream of building Nokuphila High School adding the first Grade 8 class in 2024. Additionally, their Teacher Training Academy provides resources and practical curriculum support to strengthen educators currently studying at the academy and affiliated teacher training centres in Gauteng, KZN, Western Cape, Mpumalanga and Free State to inspire lasting impact.
To ensure that young children have access to high-quality education and development opportunities to support their growth and learning trajectory The Love Trust is seeking a Head of Fundraising and Communications with a passion for impactful results, driving the delivery of the fundraising strategy, and ensuring long-term success.

The Head of Fundraising and Communications will be a values-driven leader, with a strong social development orientation. You will champion innovative income generation initiatives, empower your team, excel in outreach and networking, and commit to personal growth, fostering accountability in all interactions.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skillsets:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Direct Marketing and Sales or Business Development equivalent preferred or Graduate qualification in Public Relations and Communications
• 5 years’ proven experience at a senior management level with evidence of team leadership.
• Experience in leading the annual fundraising planning process to produce innovative and effective donor acquisition and retention strategies to achieve income targets comprising community, trust, corporate, major donor, individual and digital fundraising.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sound and ethical fundraising principles with an awareness of relevant regulations impacting the fundraising landscape and The Love Trust.
• Ability to analyse numbers and tell the story behind them, creating a metric and data-driven fundraising, reporting and engagement culture.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-value donors, providing strategic guidance to enhance the high-value engagement strategy.
• Brand image and PR custodian with attention to detail, overseeing the delivery of consistent, cohesive, positive messaging and content across all communication mediums including accountability for the production of the annual report (project management, copywriting and editing, agency briefing and delivery).
• Own transport, a valid driver’s license and own mobile phone.
