Feenix, an innovative, independent, non-profit organisation, is on a mission to bridge the gap between students and funders, through their secure crowdfunding platform and Skills Development Bursary programme. This empowers students to graduate debt-free and nurtures a thriving South African youth demographic.

In an exciting phase of growth and expansion, Feenix is seeking a Head of Fundraising to join their Executive Leadership Team, directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and managing the Marketing Manager and Fundraising Team. This key role includes steering the strategic, financial, and operational aspects of Feenix's fundraising and communication strategies, with a clear objective of growing Feenix's donor base and income.

As the Head of Fundraising, you will represent Feenix externally, shining a light on the organisation's work and forging valuable relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders. The position also entails ensuring that the fundraising strategy meets its targets by maximising income from various streams while enjoying a strong and nurturing organisational culture.   

Feenix is looking for a candidate with significant experience in leading teams to achieve significant fundraising income growth.  Ideally you will have expertise in attracting funding from both corporates and individuals.  A central part of the role will be in leading and mentoring the fundraising and marketing teams to develop their skills and capacity. 

The successful candidate will play an integral part in ensuring that Feenix continues its essential work, empowering students, and shaping the future of South Africa.
